Mark’s virtuosity thrills audiences as he combines the wonderful repertoire of contemporary and authentic traditional flamenco with his own exciting and vibrant compositions. Passionate about flamenco, Mark is a natural performer who will delight all who listen.
Mark Dennett has been studying and performing the guitar for twenty years and has exclusively devoted the last ten of these to the dedicated exploration of flamenco guitar. He has taken master classes from many experts in flamenco, Gerado Nenez, Jose Luis Monton, El Osito and Jingle and also spends much time composing his own original material.
Mark has performed with numerous flamenco dance groups at private functions and regional events including Midsomer Norton Mardi Gras, Cheltenham International Holiday Trade Fair Show and regular slots at Bristol’s Ashton Court Festival. He has taken flamenco music into schools and was the only live musician at the highly acclaimed School Stage Dance event in 1999.
Other recent performances include a set of flamenco guitar solos, featuring flamenco dance for Keith Tippett’s Rare Music Club and several solo evenings at “La Flamenca” in Bath.
